As an online meat subscription retailer, Crowd Cow owns and operates proprietary cold chain technology and fulfillment including last mile delivery. Through our fulfillment center network and our injection nodes across most key metros in the US, we are able to achieve 2-day delivery across lower-48 states and are able to achieve a high on-time delivery performance. As we directly operate and manage our fulfillment centers, we are able to offer inventory management, custom packaging solutions, outbound transportation and inventory sharing across our marketplaces.
Our capabilities:
FC network: We operate three warehouses strategically located near metros and population centers. We also operate outbound line haul network that connect last mile hubs in many of the key metros near the warehouses.
Watsonville CA Warehouse - Serves all of western states from Washington in the north, to So Cal in the south and as far east as Montana & Arizona. We operate outbound line haul (refrigerated trucks) from this warehouse to San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Portland OR and Seattle, where we inject shipments into local last mile carriers including UPS and Fedex.
Scranton PA Warehouse - Serves all of Midwest, Northeast, Mid-atlantic and Southeast US regions. We operate outbound line haul (refrigerated trucks) from this warehouse to NYC, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington DC, most other metros in Virginia, most midwest Cities (Indianapolis IN being the primary midwest hub) and Florida (through an injection hub in Orlando FL).
Dallas TX Warehouse - Serves Southern States from New Mexico to Alabama and all the way up to Colorado and Kansas in the North. We operate outbound line haul (refrigerated trucks) from this warehouse to last mile hubs in Dallas, Houston and Austin metros.
Inventory management: As a direct-to-consumer marketplace, Crowd Cow operates a hub and spoke model for inventory management with Scranton PA warehouse as the primary deep storage warehouse. We are able to plan demand by warehouse & replenish the downstream warehouses from this deep storage capability on a regular basis. We operate monthly full truckload schedule and as-required LTL schedule to distribute inventory to meet regional demand. We offer the same service to our fulfillment customers thus helping to reduce the overall inventory commitment while maximizing sales.
Marketplace participation: Crowd Cow, as a premium meats and seafood marketplace, maintains an enviable selection of farm- and producer-branded meat and seafood products that our customers love. We are able to share this inventory with our fulfillment partners to help them fill in gaps in their portfolio thus increase their sales without tying up cash in inventory especially for seasonal and complimentary selection.
Bulk fulfillment: We understand many of our fulfillment customers also have bulk fulfillment needs to support their B2B customers. We support handling pallet and case level fulfillment & are able to integrate with your ERP and handle such bulk orders.
Flexibility: As a fulfillment customer of Crowd Cow, you will have the full suite of our fulfillment capabilities and you can choose all or some of them; some of our customers leverage us only for fulfillment while others leverage us for multiple functions from fulfillment to sustainable packaging to outbound transportation and for inventory management solutions. We provide real time visibility to our inventory position thus providing your ERP the necessary insights to operate efficiently thus helping your customer get the same 5-star experience we provide to our customers while allowing you to focus on growing your business.
